About

Robert J. Pfister

Rob Pfister is a native of Leo, Indiana. The son of Bob and Jan Pfister, he attended Leo Elementary and Leo Jr./Sr. High (Class of 1996). His first job was at Leo Country Market (where Dollar General stands today), followed by the Marathon gas station at Leo Crossing and Scott’s Food Stores (at Pine Valley / Dupont, Auburn, and North Clinton St. in Fort Wayne). He studied at IPFW, IU Bloomington, and NYU School of Law.

A lawyer for 25 years, Rob is an entrepreneur with a heart for public service. He has practiced law in Connecticut, New York, California, and Indiana. He started his own firm, Pfister & Saso, LLP, on January 1, 2024. With the flexibility that comes as a small business owner, Rob works primarily from the home office in the house on Shoreline Drive that his parents bought in 1976, where he lives with his husband (Andrew) and their two dogs (Rhoda and Swiffer). He travels frequently, as he works with clients and appears in court across the country. Rob serves as an appointed member of the Leo-Cedarville Stormwater Utility Board (2026–2029 term) and was selected as a member of the 16th FWPD Citizens’ Police Academy.

Rob has deep roots in Cedar Creek Township. His aunt Marty Pence owns the Exceeding Limits hair salon in Leo. Two of her children—local realtor Jason Pence, with his wife Heidi and their children Levi, Trinda, and Asher; and Cassi McClintock, with her sons Scott and Ross—live in the township, as do Rob’s aunt Sharon Pfister (widow of David N. Pfister) and her grandson Levi Pfister. Rob’s cousin David E. Pfister owns a small business in the township, operating out of the same family farm on Leo Road (near Metea Park) where Bob and his brother Dave ran Pfister Brothers Farms.
