Good Government
We Can All Agree on Good Government
- A public website where residents can find the names and contact information of the Trustee and Board members, the meeting calendar, agendas, minutes, the budget, and the annual report.
- A published calendar of regularly scheduled meetings, set well in advance, so that the public can make plans to attend in person or to watch online.
- Meetings that are livestreamed and posted to YouTube, with the agenda and minutes alongside, so that people who cannot be there in person can still see what happened.
- Reports filed on time — the annual financial report, the personnel report, the budget, and every other filing the state requires, submitted complete and by the deadline, every year.
- Transparent budgeting and spending, with no township money spent except as the Board has duly appropriated it.
- Clean audits, with the State Board of Accounts finding nothing to correct.
- Open books, with public records freely available to the public, without cost or complaint.
- Employees and contractors held to the highest ethical standards, with clear written policies and disclosures.
